We had an awesome start for the term. We had a fun Marshmallow challenge!! It's a challenge where you make the highest tower using these objects. Here are the objects you will get in each team :
In the Marshmallow challenge we need to finish the tower in 18 minutes. The marshmallow challenge is more than a competition, it helps build our teamwork and builds our creativity. Me and 3 of my classmates tried to make a tower but we ran out of time. But we did have a good idea. We learnt that we needed to take only 2 minutes to think of our ideas and the rest of the time to build and that we need to test whether the marshmallow holds a few times to check whether we need to make improvements. We also learnt that we need to work on our teamwork and it also increased our creativity.

Do you think you could make a tower in 18 minutes ? Do you think you agree that a tower building challenge increases your teamwork and creativity ?
Hi Alan! It's Mia here. Wow! Great explanation, I liked the way that you told us about teamwork and creativity, two really important elements of the challenge.
ReplyDeleteYes! We did successfully make a tower in 18 minutes, although, we spend half of the time taping up broken spaghetti sticks and adding more supports, since our tower was leaning... really badly. Yeah, I mean, we all had to put our heads together and think about it together, but we did work together well in the first place. What was your idea?
To improve, maybe you could add some picture of you working on the tower? Or some pictures of others.
Great work!
Mia
