For this activity, please choose your favourite inspirational quote from this website. Create a text graphic using this quote.
On your blog, share your text graphic and underneath it, explain what it means to you.

So I am going to complete it. Now I am going to show you my favourite quote which I edited in  google drawings.

  1. Hello Alan, its me Parwin!

I really liked your picture which you made for that quote and its also a wonderful quote as well! I have heard of this quote and it is true. Its also great to see that you have included what the activity is!

This reminds me of when I did this except I choose the saying by Doctor Suess which was 'Why blend in when you were born to stand out'. This saying was also in the book Wonder. Have you read the book Wonder?

I think that to improve, maybe you could include what the SLJ is so that those who aren't familiar with it will know what it is!

    Awesome work!

Looking forward to your next posts,
    Parwin

  2. Hey Alan!

My name is Natasha - I'm a year 11 from Hornby High and I'm going to be checking out a couple of your blog posts for the Summer Learning Journey. Hopefully I can also give you a little bit of helpful feedback along the way!

I really like the background you've designed for your quote. I'm not entirely sure if it was intentional, but the way you've used different shades of the same colour created a really cool almost 3D look so well done! I also really like the font you've chosen!

That's a really nice quote, Alan. It's a lovely message! Do you know who said it? If so, it'd be really cool if you could add it into your post :)

Awesome work Alan, you have an eye for graphic design and I really enjoyed reading this post. Have an awesome day!

  3. Mōrena Alan,

    Mikey here. :)

Congratulations on completing another activity! I love the way you've presented this activity - it caught my eye immediately! :)

Don't forget that the Summer Learning Journey finishes next Friday (January 24th) so that means there's only one week left to post as many activities as you can. You've shared some awesome work so far but I've noticed that you haven't been as active in the last week. Emma and I would love to see more posts from you so feel free to jump back online and have a go at some of the activities you haven't gotten around to doing yet. Remember, the more activities you complete and post, the more points you could earn! :)

Have a wonderful day, Alan. I do hope I'll be seeing more SLJ posts from you soon. :)

    Mā te wā,

    Mikey

  4. Hi Alan,

I could tell from my email inbox that you have been very busy over the summer holidays. There were so many posts from you, Parwin, Mia, Albin and Amelia. I am so pleased to see that you have all engaged with the Summer Learning Journey.

Thanks for sharing that quote. It was really beautiful and it is very true. Life can have some difficult roads. I'm sure moving to New Zealand was difficult, but I hope that you are finding some beautiful places and destinations, whether they be with people or in nature.

Keep up the great blogging ... only a few days left of the SLJ.

    :) Mrs Spragg
